And now the moment we’ve all be waiting for….well, actually it’s probably a moment of anticipation that not too many people besides a couple of us in the Yoga Workshop office who focus in on the blog have actually noticed we’re all waiting for. None the less, here’s the moment: We’re launching our first ever audio cast! Read More

Not much new on the travel front this week, so we may have to look elsewhere for distraction. Or possibly closer, right under our noses, since that’s where most distractions hide anyway. Richard’s travels this week took him mostly in and out the front door at home, which was mostly exciting for the dog. It has a greater building density than Manhattan with enclosed walkways connecting many of the downtown buildings outdoor, enclosed escalators moving steadily up some of the hills. There are also many places to feel as if you’re not in the middle of a huge city Read More
After almost two weeks in Thailand with teaching, practicing yoga, great food, resting and a sprinkling of site seeing shaping the days, Richard headed out to Taipei. Taking a puddle jumper from Koh Samui to Bangkok, there was time to reflect on how the new fusion of yoga–reflecting the ancient tradition of the practice with a modern, stylish international twist–has just begun to take off in Asia. With the underlying Buddhist and Hindu roots so intimately rooted in the cultures, it’s no surprise. Read More
After 36 hours in transit (which we don’t have documented here because we didn’t want to initiate our blog with horror photos), Richard arrived in Koh Samui and the Yoga Thailand Retreat Center. And that’s where the travel nightmare seamlessly merged into the heavenly realm, the perfect antidote for jet lag and modern life.
