Things DO Eventually Get Done….

It’s as if we’re in an unpleasant time warp at this time of year. The pace speeds up, it always seems to take more time to do everything, as the days indeed get shorter. People who look almost familiar, but who’s faces are a bit morefatigued, stressed and distracted keep passing through the view finder. And there isn’t even enough daylight to work with to try to straighten it all out.But after doing yoga for a few years there are moments when it seems like time is speeding up around you, but you’ve slipped into an alternate reality that doesn’t quite connect into the frantic atmosphere of Holiday lights and cheer (cheer which is often aided by outside substances that don’t really wind up feeling so cheerful the next morning). Important things like battling traffic in the snow or engaging in the food frenzy at Whole Foods drop into a strange sci-fi sort of slow motion around you. That can be kind of nice. But still strange.Whether you’re participating full-on in the frenzy of the season, or if you’re in an altered state, floating around with a yoga hangover (often confused with bliss), not everything gets done as quickly and efficiently as you might have wanted. But eventually it does all come together, and the loose ends that are important enough to weather the storm get done. Like posting Richard’s lecture on the Rotten Heart that is NOW finally up and listen-able.Hope you enjoy it!Holding the vision of Peace on Earth in our non-so-rotten, rotten hearts. Happy Holidays.
