Classes marked with a double asterisk will be temporarily relocated to the Community Dance Collective. The CDC is located on the exact opposite side of the building as our studio. From our studio, go around the Spruce Pool to the left and walk all the way around the fenced in area. You will see the CDC located next to the pool.

Class Descriptions
Mysore classes are the same format as those taught in Mysore, India. Students of different levels practice together, each working individually on the series or therapeutic loop of postures that is appropriate, with adjustments and input from the teacher. This form of “self practice” is at the root of the Ashtanga tradition. You may arrive and depart at any time during a Mysore class (except during the last ten minutes). Practice as long as you wish and leave when you are finished
Level 1 classes are appropriate for students new to yoga, those new to the Yoga Workshop and for more experienced students wishing to deepen their understanding of the subtleties of alignment within the practice. Sun Salutations, standing postures, basic seated postures from the Primary Series, beginning back bends and appropriate variations are included.
Level 2 classes are appropriate for students with a basic understanding of the Ashtanga Vinyasa system and those wishing to intensify the practice and their understanding of the internal and external forms of the practice. Headstand, Shoulder Stand and full Backbend may be included in these classes.
Noon Ashtanga are mixed level classes in which the traditional Ashtanga flow can be experienced in a shortened form. Postures are drawn from the Primary and sometimes the Intermediate series, and variations for challenging postures are given. Preparation for Headstand, Shoulder Stand and full Backbend may be included.
Primary Series class is the entire Primary Series of the Ashtanga Vinyasa system taught in a guided format with alternative and transitional postures provided when needed.
Yoga for Healing is an ongoing yoga class for people living with, or recovering from, any type of disease, chronic illness, pain, or injury. Join us as we gently stretch, strengthen, and restore the body in a manner that is safe and accessible for all. Modifications are always available for those who wish to make their practice more or less challenging, so that the needs of all students can be met. Even if you've never done yoga or don't feel well on a given day, this class will provide a sense of support and balance that can be vital within the healing process. This is a drop-in class, although you must contact the instructor prior to attendance: laura@laurakupperman.com. All levels welcome — must be able to function independently and can get up and down from the floor or chair by yourself.
