Yoga for Survivors Course Overview

Make a difference in the lives of cancer survivors!
Join us for this unique course that guides you through the process of teaching yoga to survivors of any type of cancer at any stage of recovery. Using the Pancha Maya model, we learn to skillfully and confidently work with students on a physical level, and also to address the energetic, mental, emotional, and spiritual components of a cancer diagnosis. Course leader is Laura Kupperman, Professional Yoga Therapist, Career Coach, and cancer survivor.
This comprehensive 140 hour certification course includes the following:
Six Day, 50 Hour Intensive:
- Lecture, discussion and group activities
- Yoga and teaching practices
- Guest speakers
- Practice teaching to cancer survivors
- Comprehensive course manual, and more
Year-Long Individual Internship:
This portion of the course is completed in your own community as you start teaching cancer survivors and complete additional internship assignments. During the internship you will receive:
- 1-on-1 coaching sessions with Laura
- Monthly group coaching calls with Laura and your peers
- Constructive and supportive feedback on your classes and other assignments
- Mentoring on starting and growing successful classes
- Access to call in support during Laura’s regular “office hours,” for quick questions that arise
- Email availability for urgent questions/issues
- Access to a Yahoo Group for peer support
